This past Tuesday I hosted a DNS training seminar for all the employees at Sago. It went over great! The curriculum involved:

The difference between Caching and Authoritative DNS

All the different types of DNS Records

How to use dig and how to interpret it

How to troubleshoot dns problems

Secret DNS Tricks!

I recorded the AUDIO (sorry the audio sucks) and the BASH history for those poor souls who want to listen to me drone on for an hour about dns….

This is a video that I made for some fourth graders in an attempt to explain what Wikipedia is, how it works, and why it is neat. We made a new article together, and they all went home with a piece of fiber optic to remind them of the event. This is the video I showed them for historical purposes:

Get the Flash Player to see this player.

var s1 = new SWFObject("https://media.dreamhost.com/mp4/player.swf","ply","640","480","9","#FFFFFF");
s1.addParam("allowfullscreen","true");
s1.addParam("allowscriptaccess","always");
s1.addParam("flashvars","file=http://xkyle.com/video/wiki2.flv");
s1.write("mvcontainer");
